GM 2.4L engines vary by model year, engine code, fuel system, and vehicle configuration. Displacement alone does not establish compatibility, and these listings do not make every 2.4L engine interchangeable.

Inspection, machining, assembly, and testing
The remanufacturing process brings inspection, cleaning, precision machining, and controlled assembly together. Parts and procedures depend on the material, condition, engine application, and selected build.
Inspect & clean
Disassemble, inspect components, and clean passages and surfaces using methods appropriate to the engine materials.
Machine & prepare
Prepare critical surfaces and dimensions, check clearances, and ready the block, cylinder head, and rotating components for assembly.
Assemble & test
Assemble the specified parts, check component fit, and complete the balanced and tested rotating assembly listed for each build.
2.4L GM Ecotec engine questions
What is the difference between the two configurations?
The OEM-spec engine is $3,799 and includes a 3-year/unlimited-mile parts-and-labor warranty. Fraser Advantage is $4,199 and includes listed updates and extra components, a 5-year/unlimited-mile parts-and-labor warranty, and one year of No-Fault coverage free.
Will both configurations fit my vehicle?
Fraser must confirm your vehicle and engine application first. Once the correct application is identified, ask your specialist to confirm whether both build levels are available for it. Do not select solely by displacement.
Is No-Fault coverage included?
One year of No-Fault coverage is included with Fraser Advantage. It is optional on the OEM-spec offering. Longer options are listed above; eligibility, upgrade pricing, and coverage are confirmed under the written terms.
Do I need to return my core?
Yes. Both offerings require a returnable core. No upfront core charge does not remove that obligation. Free core pickup to a qualifying commercial address in the continental U.S. is included.
