Engine replacement inquiries often follow lifter or camshaft damage, persistent ticking, low oil pressure, contamination or overheating. These symptoms require professional diagnosis; a noise or warning light alone does not prove that the complete engine needs replacement.
Lifter & Camshaft Wear
Have the shop inspect persistent valvetrain noise, misfires and suspected cam-lobe damage. Check for metal contamination before planning the replacement.

Fraser’s two listed packages make the build and coverage differences visible before you order. “Zero-mile remanufactured” refers to service mileage since remanufacturing; it does not mean every casting is a new factory component.

What is the difference between the two engine options?
The OEM-spec assembly includes a 3-year/unlimited-mile nationwide parts and labor warranty. The Platinum Series adds MDS and VVT delete configuration, a high-performance camshaft, a high-volume performance oil pump, applicable TSB updates, and 5-year/unlimited-mile coverage plus 1 year of No-Fault coverage free. The delete option requires installer and calibration planning.
Does the intake manifold need to be replaced?
Yes. The intake manifold must be replaced during installation or the warranty is void. This requirement applies to both listed engine options. Confirm the correct replacement manifold with Fraser and your installer before installation.
Will both options fit every 6.4L HEMI vehicle?
No universal fitment is implied. Performance-car, SUV, Jeep 392 and Ram heavy-duty applications can use different configurations. Fraser must review your full VIN, original engine, transmission and any modifications before confirming the assembly and selected build.
Which vehicles use the 6.4L HEMI engine?
Application families include appropriately equipped Dodge Charger, Challenger and Durango; Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and Wrangler 392; and Ram 2500 and 3500. Availability depends on model year, trim and original engine. These examples do not establish interchangeability.
Does the MDS + VVT Delete engine need programming?

The OEM-spec engine includes 3 years/unlimited miles of nationwide parts and labor coverage. Platinum includes 5 years/unlimited miles plus 1 year of No-Fault coverage free. Coverage, labor reimbursement, eligibility, exclusions and claim requirements are governed by Fraser’s written terms. Intake-manifold replacement is required for both packages.
Can I add No-Fault coverage and installation products?
Listed No-Fault options are $99 for 1 year, $199 for 2 years, $299 for 3 years, $399 for 4 years with Premium Pay, and $499 for 5-year Elite Maxx with Premium Pay. The installation kit is $250 and break-in oil is $49.99. Platinum already includes 1 year of No-Fault coverage; Sales confirms the appropriate upgrade.
Is commercial shipping free, and is a core return required?
The offer includes shipping and core pickup to qualifying commercial addresses in the continental United States. Eligible orders have no upfront core charge, but the original qualifying core must still be returned under the order agreement. Confirm return deadlines and any residential or additional delivery charges with Sales.
Does HEMI tick mean I need a replacement engine?
Not necessarily. Ticking can have different causes, including exhaust leaks and valvetrain issues. Have a qualified shop diagnose the noise and inspect oil pressure, contamination, compression and related symptoms before deciding on engine replacement.
